What we’ve been up to… We have just completed the latest round of the Mentoring Network and are looking forward to our in-person networking event with them. Once they have had their one to one session, they will be meeting their mentors for some departmental specific guidance. Props Training We have now completed this round of the Props Course and all 12 trainees are ready to get started on production! Been an absolute pleasure working with them and we wish them all the very best with next steps.
This year is flying by – and more productions seem to be getting greenlit which is promising for us all. Certainly feels busier. If you’re not working, as some people still aren’t, don’t lose hope….something will come up.

TOP TIP We had a great Industry Session with Senior Set Decorator Netty Chapman this week, so it’s apt that we came across one of her top tips. Very happy to share as it’s a good reminder…. “This industry requires an open and resourceful & curious mindset and a lateral way of thinking around problem solving when you have limited time scales. Take slow, deep breaths in those moments. Panicking will not help you or anyone else. It is always alright and we always get it done!” THINGS WE HAVE BEEN ENJOYING It's all about Succession now – let’s see where the madness and greed take us in this last season. Expecting insane family dynamics, great soundtrack and incredible locations. Bectu Art Dept consultation – time is running out so if you haven’t already completed the survey on rates, please do. The more input they have from everyone, the better the consultation will be. Moth have expanded their cocktail range just in time for Spring – Aperitivo Spritz, like an Aperol but more bitter orange and French 75 (oh the stories we could tell about French ‘75s!) Perfect for picnics, journeys or when you fancy a cocktail but don’t have the time/ingredients/inclination to make it. And if you buy them direct there is 15% off at the moment.
